Love your life-Live it to the fullest

I’m Back!

As I am sure some have noticed, I took a little sabbatical from my blog.  I went through a few things over the last several months and needed to take the time to focus on myself.  No this does not mean I went back into hotmess mode.  I was just simply reforming my inner goddess and making her stronger than ever.

Obviously I am not going to be able to cover months of life in one post.  So this blog is going to be more generalized to reminding all of us to love and respect ourselves.  Ladies, we have to stick together and support each other.  But at the end of the day the only person we need to worry about impressing is ourselves.

One of the most important things I recommend is to always find the positive in every situation.  I know it is easy to get stuck in the moment and feel like there is no positive.  But I promise you there always is.  One of the things my friends and I talk about all the time is sometimes when the most inopportune things happen, they feel detrimental at the time, but create some of the best memories and stories later.

It’s been a little over a year since I left one of the worst relationships of my life.  I can tell you though the lessons I learned from that relationship have been nothing but a blessing.  It led me to so many wonderful things in my life.  I was just reflecting back on the last year of my life and am truly grateful for everything that has happened.  So many special moments.  Even the ones I thought were terrible when I was going through them, I look back now and realize how amazing they were.

I want to challenge everyone to live in the moment.  Focus on the little things that are so precious.  The more you train yourself to focus on the good, the more the good will become prominent in your life.  I know this sounds cliche, but just try it.  What do you have to lose?

Boundaries are one of the most important things in life.  If you cannot set good boundaries for yourself, you will continue to allow negativity to come into your life.  Don’t we all strive to live a happy and peaceful life?  That is truly all I want is a life of peace and happiness.  If someone comes into my life and I start to lose that sense of peace, they have to go.  I’m sure this sounds rigid and mean to some.  But trust me, we are in control of our own happiness.  If someone tries to dampen that, they gotta go.

As I am typing this one of my best friends just posted on social media “When everyone else around you is being negative, find the positive … .it’s what will keep you afloat.”  Thank you my friend for the quote and inspiration to share.

Remember life is a journey. We are not meant to stay on the same path forever. Change is good. Keep evolving.

About Me

As a mom-wife-girlfriend-friend-daughter-aunt, all of the hats we wear as women. Do you ever feel like you are just surviving? This is what I call hot mess mode. But through this stage of hot mess, there is a goddess arising. This blog is geared toward empowering women to feel comfortable in all their stages of life. Through the stories of my own, as well as many of my friends and family, I am here to tell you, it is okay to not be okay. It is okay to not have it all together all the time (be a hot mess). None of us are perfect, and we all are allowed to feel, heal, or deal however we want to, without guilt. The most powerful thing as a woman, is having other women in our corner. Let me tell you I am in your corner!

Am I a licensed professional…no! Have I been through my fair share of ups and downs, as well as helped my friends and family through the same… Yes! I have been to counseling several times in my life, and took it seriously. Learned skills, and lessons that has helped not only me, but others in my life several times. My goal is to use my experiences to help empower women to feel confident in navigating the ups and downs of life.
